Angler's Alibi Alaska Fly Fishing
www.angelrsalibi.com and our world class salmon and trophy trout fishing here on the Alagnak River  is accessible only by float plane.  We are over 250 miles from the nearest highway in Alaska's most famous remote wilderness fishing area, adjacent to Bristol Bay and the more than four million acre Katmai National Park.
www.anglersalibi.com has  been guiding and hosting guests in this world famous area of Alaska since 1975, and our  goal is to exceed your expectations with the best Alaska fishing and wildlife viewing trip possible.
We specialize in fly fishing for Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Grayling and Arctic Char. We tie most of our own flies and provide casting and tying instruction on an individual basis.  The fishing is very exciting here with an abundant daily catch.  Even fly fishing novices can expect to catch over 20 fish each day as many of our guests have caught more than 50 salmon in a days fishing.   Some of our guests prefer to use spin or casting gear and we are equally experienced with this equipment.  However, we do not put fly fishermen and spin fishermen with the same guide, unless requested.  Shallow easy wading is the most productive fishing method on the Alagnak River.  King Salmon however are an exception as  they average 30-50 pounds and casting or drifting from the boat usually works best for them.  Note: If you want or need to fish from the boat, that is not a problem. Our guest to guide ratio is from one to two guests per guide, depending on the circumstances and your need for assistance.

With millions of fish returning each year, the remote Alagnak River is one of the premiere salmon streams in the world and is renowned for its  rainbow  trout & grayling fishing. We also provide optional guided fly-outs to some of the best rainbow trout, arctic char and  grayling streams Alaska has to offer. Our guides and fly fishing instructors are highly experienced and know they are working for you!

You can expect to see an unbelievable array of wildlife, both while you are fishing and even right out of your front door. Brown bears, moose,  beavers, otters, loons and a multitude of waterfowl are everyday sights on the river. Eagles and osprey nest all along the Alagnak and most days we get to watch them aerial sparring and fishing right in front of Angler's Alibi.

Most important is our fishing program; we take it very seriously. With only ten guests we can cater to each person's trip expectations and we always produce exceptional results. In fact, several of our guests have fished at other Alaskan lodges and they tell us that Angler's  provided the Alaskan wilderness experience that they had expected. With a return rate of guests at near 90%, this should speek volumes.  Each guide has his own boat designed for river fishing, and can accomodate up to three anglers if that is what the guests would like to do.  We also have a jet boat that we use to access the braids of the Alagnak where the salmon actually spawn in the shallow gravel runs.  The trout and grayling fishing is superb here, with prime wildlife viewing opportunities around every bend.
